Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
This policy explains how Armour Transport Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data when you use this website or request a quote, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Armour Transport Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are a container haulage operator based in Essex, England. You can contact us about privacy at enquiries@armourtransport.co.uk.
What we collect
- Quote and contact enquiries: your name, company, email address, phone number, collection port, container size, collection date, delivery postcode and any requirements you give us.
- Communications: records of correspondence by email, phone or WhatsApp when you contact us.
- Usage data: if you accept analytics cookies, we collect privacy-friendly, aggregated usage statistics (see our Cookie Policy). Our analytics does not track you across other sites or build a personal profile.
How and why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote — our legitimate interest in responding to potential customers, and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To provide and administer haulage services you book with us — performance of a contract.
- To improve the website and our service — legitimate interests, only where you have consented to analytics.
- To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — for example our form-handling provider (Formspree) and our analytics provider — and with authorities where we are legally required to. Some providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond and for our legitimate business records, and customer records for as long as required by law (for example, tax records). We then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email enquiries@armourtransport.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
This page is a general template provided for completeness. Please have it reviewed against your actual data practices — ideally by a qualified adviser — before launch.
