Essential

When you accept or decline on the consent banner — either straight away, or after opening Manage to look at the categories — we save that decision in your browser's local storage, together with the date you made it, so we don't ask you again on every visit. Local storage is not a cookie: it stays on your device and is never sent to our servers or shared with anyone. It holds nothing but the choice itself — no name, no email address, no identifier. This is what the banner calls the essential category. It is strictly necessary for the consent mechanism to work, so it cannot be switched off.

Analytics (optional)

With your consent, we use Plausible Analytics to see how the site is used in aggregate — which pages get read, and which sites people arrive from. Plausible is cookieless: it sets no cookies whatsoever, stores nothing on your device, collects no personal data and gives you no persistent identifier, so it cannot follow you across other websites or build a profile of you. We see counts and trends, never individual visitors.

If you decline, or simply carry on browsing without choosing, the Plausible script is never requested at all. Nothing is loaded and then held back — it is not loaded in the first place.

Other services we rely on

When you send a quote request or a contact enquiry, your browser submits it to Formspree, the service that forwards the message to us by email. Formspree is based in the United States, so sending the form involves a transfer of the details you enter outside the UK. It runs only at the moment you submit a form, and it places no cookies or tracking scripts on this site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle enquiry details.

The site itself is static. It is hosted on Amazon S3 in the London (eu-west-2) region and delivered through the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network, so pages are served from an edge location near you. Delivering them requires no cookies.

Changing your choice

Your decision stays in place until you clear it. Because it is held in local storage rather than in a cookie, deleting cookies on their own will not reset it — you need to clear this site's stored data. In most browsers that control sits behind the padlock or site information icon at the left of the address bar, listed as "Cookies and site data"; in Safari, open Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data, and remove the entry for this site.

That removes your consent record — the only thing this site keeps on your device — and the banner will appear again on your next visit so you can choose afresh. If you had accepted, clearing it also stops analytics loading until you accept again. There is nothing else to remove: no cookies were ever set, and if you declined, no analytics ever ran.
